I am going to introduce my favorite professional pianist.

His name is Jonny May. 

He is a professional pianist born in California

and has perfect pitch since he was only age 4.

He regularly performs at Disneyland and Universal Studios in Hollywood.

He is really good at arrangement songs,

and he also succeed as a composer.

Hello, guys. 

Today, I would like to introduce brass instruments.

These are main brass instrument.

Brass instruments are usually played as orchestra or brass bands.

Basically, they need just only three fingers and breath.

Each instruments has different nice sound.

My favorite one is  French horn.

SAXOPHONE

Saxophone

The Saxophone is gold on outside, but it is classified as a woodwind instrument. 

It plays a role of connecting the sound of the woodwind and the brass.

There are 4 major types of saxophone

- Soprano Saxophone

         The shortest, straight saxophone which has the highest sound

- Alto Saxophone

         This is often used in a brass band, taking charge of melodies with the higher sound. 

- Tenor Saxophone

         This is the saxophone I really like because it produces nice and deep sound. This is the main saxophone in Jazz Band. 

- Baritone Saxophone

         The biggest and heaviest saxophone which has the lowest sound.

Today, I am going to tell you guys about flute.

I know most people know what kind of instrument it is. 

However, did you guys know it is made of wood??

Flute is made of wood as I said in a previous post about Oboe.

There are some similar instrument like piccolo and shinobue.

They also made of wood.

I love all woodwind instruments like them.

Today, what I want to introduce  to you is oboe.

Oboe is one of my favorite instrument.

I especially like tone color.

Oboe usually made from wood.

I cannot play the oboe, but I really like listening to oboe melody.

Here is my favorite oboe trio.

You can realize how beautiful sounds they have.

UKULELE

UKULELE

 Aloha, guys!!!! Today, I am going to tell you guys about "Ukulele".

 Maybe most people who live in Hawaii know this instrument.

Actually, ukulele was told by Portuguese immigrants to Hawaii in the 19th century.

It has beautiful sound, and it makes me relaxed and comfortable.

I love those two girls' duet.

Great great performance!!!

SHINIBUE

SHINOBUE

Today, I would like to introduce about Japanese flute which is called SHINOBUE. It has a history spanning more than 2,000 years and has had an important role in various traditional Japanese art forms. Shinobue has high pitched sound, and it is usually used in Noh and Kabuki.

 How to play SHINOBUE??
Shinobue has only 7 holes, and it can make sound around 3 octave. It is almost the same flute and play it like a picture on right side.

Also, it is often played with Wadaiko like picture on left side. It has really great combination.

Wadaiko ( Japanese Drum )

WADAIKO

Today, I am going to introduce about Japanese drum which is called WADAIKO. Wadaiko is one of Japanese traditional instrument and it came to Japan early as 6th century through Korean and Chinese cultural influence. Nowadays, wadaiko is really popular all over the world. There are some kinds of taiko, and each taiko has different nice tone color. Basically, wadaiko players use three types taiko which are named SHIME-DAIKO, NAGADOU-DAIKO, and OKE-DAIKO. 

      

Actually, I am learning Wadaiko in Hawaii, and the sounds is so good. This video I pasted below is wadaiko group, named "Dragon Beat" that I am belong to. Check it out, if you are interested in.

Piano

Today, I am going to introduce about Piano. There are many kinds piano all over the world, but my especially love steinway piano. This piano is published by STEINWAY & SONS company.


Its average cost is $200,000.00 and really expensive, but they have so high tone quality. I have ever played one of steinway piano only once, and it was so amazing. I always practice the piano with ordinary one, so I liked it since I had experienced playing steinway piano.

Of course, every piano have each nice tone color.
However, steinway piano makes me happy, satisfied, and comfortable than any other pianos.
